3. POTATO AGAR

Potato 200.0 g

Agar 20.0 g

Tap water 1000.0 ml

Boil 200 g scrubbed and sliced potatoes in 1000.0 ml water for 1 hour, filter cold through a cotton-gauze filter, fill up distilled water to 1000.0 ml, add agar. Do not use new potatoes.

pH 7.0

Autoclave at 121C for 15 min.
